Todd Karr
C.E.O. (Chief Enchantment Officer)

     The Miracle Factory's chief enchanter is Todd Karr, who owns and operates our company while researching, compiling, editing, co-writing, restoring photos, and designing our books, CDs, and videos.
     Most recently, Todd served as Magic Consultant for VH1 for their Celebracadabra series and levitated the Pussycat Dolls pop group for the 2008 MTV Movie Awards.
      As Entertainment Director at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, he booked the top magic acts from around the globe.
     After studying at the University of Paris and the University of Southern California, Todd wrote for various newspapers including the Los Angeles Times before moving to Paris to begin his career as a full-time bilingual magician.
     Todd's professional adventures have included performing all types of magic from close-up to illusions, with several private shows for Monaco's Prince Albert, Princess Caroline, and the late Prince Rainier, as well as repeat engagements at the Casino de Monte Carlo, the Monte Carlo Sporting Club,and the Casino de Paris, and on numerous national French television shows.
     Todd has twice lectured at the Los Angeles Conference on Magic History, as well as at the Magic Collectors' Association symposiums, presenting talks on his historical research.
     Karr is also author of Backyard Magic, a unique children's book of magic with nature, published by Scholastic Books.
     His translations from French include Christian Fechner's four-volume The Magic of Robert-Houdin and The Award-Winning Rope Magic of Francis Tabary, and with Stephen Minch he co-edited the 1584 Old French Clever and Pleasant Inventions. Todd is also a regular contributor to the leading magic journals including Genii and Magic.
