DELAYS      
Why do your books take so long to complete?
     All our books are meticulously researched, compiled, written, illustrated, edited, and designed, a process that sometimes takes years. We do our best to estimate when a book will be ready but sometimes we're off by many months. In some cases, we've delayed books when we've discovered significant material that is essential to include. We'd rather delay a book than have it be incomplete.
     

PAYMENTS
What if I don't want to pay with Paypal?
     If you don't want to use Paypal to pay for your order, you can call, email, or write us and provide your name, address, phone number, email, credit card number, credit card expiration date, and (VERY IMPORTANT!) the credit card verification number ( Discover, MasterCard, and Visa list the three-digit verification number on the back and to the right of the card number. American Express lists the four-digit verification number on the front and to the right of the card number). We'll then send you a verification by email when your order is processed.
      If you prefer, you can just send a check, money order, or international money order to us at 1909 Harvard, Los Angeles, CA 90018 USA. (California residents, be sure to add 8.25% sales tax).
     
Why do you use Paypal?
     We love Paypal. It's free to sign up and use, and it's fast and efficient. Paypal lets you pay with your major credit cards or your bank account. It makes our bookkeeping easy. Refunds are a snap, too.

PREPUBLICATION ORDERS        
What happens when I order a prepublication copy?
   When you place your order, you pay by Paypal or check only for the reduced prepublication price for the book. This assures you receive a copy (very important with our fast-selling limited editions) and guarantees you the low prepublication price.
     Many of our happy customers saved $60 on The Secret Ways of Al Baker and Roy Benson by Starlight because they paid the $90 prepublication price instead of the eventual $150 retail cost.
     
Can I cancel my prepublication order?
     Yes, you can cancel at any time. We'll send an immediate refund, no questions asked (minus any Paypal charges from your initial order). Just send us an email and let us know.


REFUNDS
Can I get a refund?
     If you've ordered a prepublication copy, you can cancel at any time. We'll immediately refundyour money (minus any Paypal charges from your initial order). Just send us an email and let us know.
     If you're not happy with one of our books or there's a major defect, let us know and we'll either exchange the book (if it's available) or issue a refund if you return the book to us.
     If your book has misprinted pages or a damaged limited-edition case, that's a major defect, but we can't be responsible for small imperfections. Despite the quality of our printer, books occasionally have pages with a small ripple, a small amount of excess glue in the binding, or tiny scuffs on the dust jacket (which happens in the wrapping process).
     Also, we unfortunately can't help you with copies ordered from dealers other than us. If you've received a defective book, the dealer should contact either the distributor who supplied it or The Miracle Factory, if he purchased the book directly from us.       


SHIPPING          
Why are your foreign shipping prices so high?
     We do our best to keep shipping costs down, but our books are very heavy and U.S. Postal Service rates to some countries are pricey (especially England and Japan). We also ONLY ship airmail for foreign orders, since the cheaper surface method can take months and we've had too many jittery customers frightened that their book's been lost while waiting.
     Otherwise, you may want to check with dealers in your country to see if you can order our book directly from them.
